Every Tuesday evening @ 7pm, based at Southdown Methodist Church, The Hollow, Bath BA2 1NJ. Free parking on site, Starting with some gentle breathing I will guide the group through a calming body scan before heading in to a meditative visualisation. This really helps to set the pace and the tone of the sessions by helping the body and mind release any tension and slow down racing thoughts. Grounding in this way really encourages the sound therapy to be most affective. The Science - The session aims to reduce anxiety, stress, and chronic pain by using harmonic sound frequencies and vibrations that gently guide the brain from an active state (Beta) in to a slower, calming state ( Alpha, Theta & sometimes even Delta) helping to calm the nervous system and promote deep rest, and in turn reduce pain. Sleep, Rest & Pain - A lot of my customers report sleeping better after sound therapy, therefore not only does the body get chance to heal during the session, the affects keep on working. Whilst we sleep, the body enters powerful restorative states where it repairs and resets. During the session your brain is guided in to similar state, even without actually falling asleep. Creativity - You may find as the mind settles during sound therapy, creativity naturally begins to emerge, ideas flow, intuition deepens and a sense of inspiration gently unfolds. The Woo - A lot of science and a little bit of woo, these sound baths work on both levels. Each of the 7 Crystal Quartz Singing Bowls correspond to a Chakra, combing ancient energetic wisdom that help calm the mind and restore balance in the body. A mat, pillow and eye mask will be provided. Please ensure you wear extra layers even on warm days and bring a blanket! Pregnant people, please ensure you are not sat too close to the sound.
